Obtaining Resources
Before you configure the Add-In, it is important to know where you will be obtaining the resources that you will be including in your Documaker documents.
You can obtain the resources you need:
- Using existing resources from a Studio workspace – if you are creating documents for an existing Studio project, you can work with a copy of an existing Studio workspace, called a workspace definition file; this avoids having to create all of the resources yourself
- Creating new resources using the Add-In – if you are starting a new project, you can create all the resources you need using the Add-In; these will later be imported into Studio along with the contents of the Documaker document
Even if you are working with resources from a Studio workspace, you can still add your own additional resources.
Note | Your system administrator, Studio administrator, or project manager can help you set up the Add-In to access a Studio workspace. |
Important | The versions of Studio and the Add-In must match, otherwise your documents may not import correctly into Studio. |
